European Poker Tour to Add 7th Event and Make Its First Stop in Germany

One of the most prestigious events in the world of the game of poker, the European Poker Tour (EPT), announced that another event is being added to the 3rd season of its series.

March 8-11, 2007, a 5,000 Euro event will be taking place at the Casino Hohensyburg in Dortmund, Germany. The stop is a significant event on the European Poker Tour, as this will be the first EPT event to ever be held in Germany.

Poker players who are gearing up to take part in this event must take note of a particular house rule in the casino. At Hohenysburg, a dress code is imposed where male players are required to wear a suit jacket while they are inside the gaming premises, and no jeans or sandals are allowed.

The addition of the Casino Hohenysburg event means that in the 3rd season, a total of 7 events will take place. All of the European Poker Tour events have a 5,000 Euro buy-in, except for the Monte Carlo Final, which has a buy-in of 10,000 Euro.

The schedule for the events is given below: Scandinavian Open, Casino Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark, January 17-20 French Open, Deauville Casino, France, February 20-24 EPT3 Dortmund, Casino Hohensyburg, Germany, March 8-11 EPT Grand Final, Monte Carlo Bay Hotel and Resort, March 28 to April 1
