The European Poker Tour in Prague starts on December 10th

As the poker season for the year 2007 comes to a close, the European Poker Tour is preparing for their final poker tournament in the Czech Republic. The European Poker Tour event is the first time that the four year old tour will held at the Golden Prague Poker in the Hilton Prague Hotel from December 10th, 2007. It is widely expected that the top poker players from Europe will join the tournaments.

The buy-in cost for the tournament is 5,000 euros. Some of the players that will join the event are Katja Thater, Dario Minieri, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Luca Pagano, Shaun "shaundeeb" Deeb and Danny "The__D__RY" Ryan. One of the important features of the European Poker Tour is that compared with the other tours, all of the poker events will feature the same blind structure.

For those participants who have not been able to five their entry fees to the poker lounge or who have missed the set deadline for using their money at PokerStars, the tournament is giving permission to people to directly buy-in into the tournament on Day 1b.

There should be other events in Prague outside of the main event. There will be 500 euros (with a single re-buy) two-day event as well as a 2,000 euros event on December 13th, 2007 and a 1,000 euros freezeout on December 14th, 2007.

Aside from that, there will be fifteen cash games tables that are available for players that will bust out early or just want to try their hand on the side games. The event has a 500 players cap but the player field may not even reach that total with a lot of players participating at the Five Diamond Poker Classic at the Bellagio.

The EPT event in Prague is not being taped for broadcast. But despite the problems, the EPT Prague will be a good tournament.
