Estonian Capital Hosts PokerStars Baltic Festival

It is getting pretty difficult to name a country where PokerStars does not host a major poker event. The web poker room is now focusing their sights on the country of Estonia where they will be holding the PokerStars Baltic Festival on October 28th, 2009 until October 31st, 2009. Taking place in the capital of Estonia, Tallinn, the poker event will feature a buy-in of 1,100 euros with the cash pool expected to offers hundreds of thousands of euros.

The exact number of side poker events is yet to be announced to the public. PokerStars Country Manager for Finland and the Baltics, Tomas Larsson, said that they have hundreds of thousands of poker players from the Nordic countries, the Baltic States and Russia but so far there have only been a few live poker tournaments.

Larsson said that their goal with this poker festival is to create the best live poker experience to what poker enthusiasts can find at the most prestigious poker tournaments in the whole world like the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in the Bahamas and the EPT's Grand Final in Monte Carlo, combining a fantastic venue with the best live poker event in the Baltics.

PokerStars will hold satellite events for the tournament beginning in September 2009 with numerous freeroll qualifiers and standard satellites begin at just $2.20. Larsson said that the Estonian capital is a good location for such a tournament with its good access, excellent facilities and experience in hosting big poker events.
