ESPN2 to Televise the North American Poker Tour

The NAPT (North American Poker Tour) will be seen in millions of households across the United States thanks to an agreement with ESPN2. ESPN2 will broadcast 16 hours of the new poker tour, beginning in April 2010. All of the NAPT stops will be shown including Connecticut, Las Vegas and the Bahamas for the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA).

Team Pro Daniel Negreanu said on February 19th, 2010 that having the NAPT on ESPN2 is going to take the game of poker on this continent to a new level. Negreanu added that with some of the most well-known gaming locations in the United States on board and the reach of ESPN2, the NAPT is set to bring the energy and excitement of a world class poker event to millions of television viewers who love the game as much as he do.

The North American Poker Tour, which was announced at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in January 2010, is set to feature numerous poker events around North America with different buy-ins and big payouts. The main event for the NAPT's first season has been set at $5,000 with a variety of options to qualify on PokerStars.

ESPN2's coverage of the first poker event at the Venetian will include the $25,000 High Roller event, which will feature some of the biggest poker players in the circuit like Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, Tony G and Antonio Esfandiari.

The North American Poker Tour event at the Venetian in Las Vegas, Nevada is set to begin on February 20th, 2010-February 24th, 2010.
