CEO of America's Largest Coin Laundry Developer Wins 2006 CEO Poker Tournament Event

PWS-The Laundry Company's CEO, Eric Steinberg won the 2006 CEO poker tournament held at the Palms Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas. PWS is America's oldest and largest coin laundry developer and commercial laundry equipment distributor.

Steinberg never joined a professional poker tournament before his win, but was often an alternate player in his friends' monthly recreational poker games held at their residences.

Even after many of his friends expressed concern over his lack of tournament experience, Steinberg bested his opponents, coming out on top of the Day One event. After 9 hours of intense poker play, he beat over 30 fellow CEOs to win the $1,500 buy-in tournament.

His victory meant that he automatically qualified into the $5,000 day 4 event, but he opted to return to running PWS instead.

"Although this was a tournament only for my fellow CEOs, it took place during the week. Since my wife Rhonda, a public elementary school principal, would not give me an extended excused absence, and all of my colleagues were back in our 8 offices doing the actual job of running our business, my victory on Monday was witnessed only by my mother," Steinberg said.

It was announced by PWS-The Laundry Company that Steinberg is sharing his win with the Coin Laundry Association's charity foundation, Laundry Cares.

"PWS has been a long-time active supporter of the CLA and of its mission. Today, I personally donated $2,000 to the CLA's non-profit foundation, Laundry Cares, to help support our industry's efforts to provide much-needed laundry resources to those in need throughout the United States," Steinberg said.
