Barny Boatman Prepares for His 3rd 2010 Aussie Millions

With a pair of Aussie Millions final table appearances on his poker resume already, it was no big surprise to see Hendon Mobster Barny Boatman participating in the 2010 Aussie Millions. Boatman said on January 23rd, 2010 that he is looking forward in participating in his 3rd Aussie Millions event. Boatman managed a 10th place finish at the 2003 Aussie Millions when his aces were defeated by eventual champion Peter Costa.

In 2009, he came into the tournament's final table as the short stack and fought his way back before eventually going home in 8th place when he went card dead. The Aussie Millions has been a significant part of the 53 year-old Boatman's $1,484,350 in career earnings. Boatman said that he is really comfortable playing at the Aussie Millions. He added that there is also a good mix of poker players in the event and it seems to match his playing style.

The London native has been playing consistently in poker tournaments all over the world since 1998. Rather than retire from the game, Boatman came back in 2009 with the best year he has ever recorded, winning a total of $211,649.

The Full Tilt Pro said that although he is very happy with his performance in 2009, there are still a lot of things that he needs to work on his game. He added that he got into a lot of excellent positions last year but he failed to convert it so that aspect of his game should be change.

Boatman said that he is also thankful that Full Tilt continues to support his career. Boatman, who established a record back in 2002 by making three consecutive world series of poker (WSOP) final tables, is focused on making a 3rd final in the 2010 Aussie Millions and improving his performance from last year.
