Anthony Bellino Wins the $2,000 Deep Stack Poker Tournament

On August 14th, 2008, the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City continues to influence the poker market on the East Coast and this week will show you why. With a guaranteed cash pool of $500,000, the $2,000 +$150 buy-in cost Deep Stack Tournament attracted 956 poker player putting the eventual cash pool of nearly four times the guaranteed amount.

Poker player Anthony Bellino, from Yonkers, New York, came out on top of the playing field taking home the $443,201 1st place prize money. The large cash pool and deep stack structure helped attract a fair number of top class poker players to the tournament.

Ted Forrest and Anna Wroblewski were joined by 2005 world series of poker Main Event 1st runner-up Steve Dannenman and Andrew Brown, who edge out Forrest heads-up for his 1st World Series of Poker bracelet this summer and runner-up Michael Crosby of Gainesville, VA, earned $272,460 while Bluff Media's Eric Morris finished in 20th place with $8,604.

Morris said that with such deep structure, it will certainly allow for a lot of game play. He said that he was not expecting a playing field of nearly one thousand players. He added that it is a testament to the worth that they are showing their customers.
