The Annie Duke Charity Poker Tournament
The Annie Duke charity poker event scheduled on November 19th, 2009 is getting some help from the world poker tour (WPT). The World Poker Tour is putting up a slot in its exclusive Celebrity Invitation poker tournament to the winner of the charity poker tournament.
Tournament officials have also released an updated list of celebrities that will participate at the Annie Duke charity poker event. Amazing Race competitors Maria Ho and Tiffany Michelle will participate in the tournament along with fellow reality television star Trishelle Cannatella, Magician Penn Lilette, world champion snowboarder Jeff Brushie, supercross icon Jimmy Button, actor Joshua Malina and others.
The usual group of poker players will also be queuing up to play with Annie Duke, Howard Lederer, Joe Sebok, Dan Harrington, Greg Mueller, Andy Bloch, Adam "Roothlus" Levy, Dave Stann and others. The public will be able to buy-in for $330 and mix with the abovementioned celebrities and poker pros.
The top ten finishers will receive a variety of prizes from sponsors world series of poker Academy, ClubWPT.com, Rockwell Time, Crown Royal, Team UltimateBet, Hardcore Elegance, Cartwright Entertainment, AMA Supercross Anaheim and Commerce Casino.
The Annie Duke Celebrity Poker Night will be held at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, California. The main beneficiary of the tournament is the Decision Education Foundation, which teaches young individuals to make good decisions. The World Poker Tour Celebrity Invitation will also take place on the Commerce Casino on February 20th, 2010-February 21st, 2010.
The WPT Celebrity Invitational is one of the larges celebrity poker tournaments in the world. The tournament has drawn Hollywood celebrities like Tobey Maguire, Ben Affleck, Mena Suvari and Vince Vaughn. Former tournament winners include Freddy Deeb, Phil Laak and Van Nguyen.
