Poker Pro Andrew Black will play in a Charity poker tournament that held at Westwood Hotel on May 23, 2007. The Voluntary Service Overseas Organization (VSO) will be the main beneficiary of the event.
The poker star will also be present to answer questions about the game of poker and give some tips to beginners in a Poker Master Class Seminar held that evening.
The 50 euro rebuy tournament is sponsored by Poker events and Donal MacAonghusa, who will be going to Gambia by the end of August with his wife Fionnuala, a VSO volunteer and their 2 children.
The Galway Family will be staying for about a year, working and helping the local people in the country. Recent activities to pursue the enrollment process for Gambian Kids have been stopped by shortage of money to train teachers.
The Voluntary Service Overseas Organization helps volunteers like the Galway family teach others in poor countries. The Charity Poker Tournament will start at 8:00 pm. The special giveaways are sponsored by The Clifden Station House Hotel, The Orchid Restaurant, Poker events, Laptek Computers and many more.
