ABATE Holds Poker Run in Benefit of Animal Welfare Group

Members of the Lake County chapter of the American Bikers Aimed Towards Education of Florida (ABATE) will be holding their 8th annual Waggin' Tails Poker Run on Saturday, October 28th. The fundraiser is being held for the benefit of the nonprofit, no-kill South Lake Animal League.

Registration for the ABATE poker run is slated to take place from 9:00-10:30 in the morning. The poker run will begin at the Rainbow Restaurant located on State Road 50 in Mascotte and end at Steve's Package and Lounge located at US Highway 27 in Leesburg. ABATE promises that this will be another fun-filled day for everyone involved.

Riders can participate in the ABATE poker run with $10, plus one pet item. Winners for the poker run will receive a $1,000 gift certificate prize to be divided between the highest hand and the worst hand. The second place winner will be the recipient of a $100 gift certificate redeemable at Love 2 Ride Bikers Consignment Shop.

Food, games and prizes await participants in the ABATE poker run. Vendors will also be setting up at the poker gamesite, adding to the festivities.

Donations for the Central Florida Blood Center will also be welcome at the event.
