The 4th Scotty Nguyen Poker Event

On November 1st, 2007, the Scotty Nguyen poker Event IV will begin, culminating in the $5,000 main buy-in event which will begin on November 18th, 2007-November 20th, 2007. Chris Province, the promotions manager at the Cherokee Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma said that the Scotty Nguyen Poker Event is one of the 3 biggest tournaments that they hold each year.

The two other poker events that they are running every year aside from the Scotty Nguyen Poker Event are the Oklahoma State Poker Championships and the Cherokee Poker Classic. The thirty-five poker room is known in the area for offering good poker games and the Challenge shows that its customers do not want to only play the Texas Holdem variation of poker.

The Scotty Nguyen Poker Challenge will offer a Jack and Jill Texas Holdem tournament on November 1st. The challenge will also feature Omaha, Seven-Card Stud Poker, H.O.R.S.E. and others. The buy-in cost for the tournament would not burden poker enthusiasts. The buy-in for the smallest event is $100 + $10 and beside the $5,000 main event, the other buy-in cost are from $150 to $3,000( all of the event have a 10% vig and three percent of the buy-in cost will be allotted for staff cost).

The smaller buy-in costs also make bigger cash pools that can reach $150,000 for some poker events. Poker pro Scotty Nguyen, who the tournament is named after, is very helpful. The second Scotty Nguyen Poker challenge was won by poker pro Nam Le.

The 3rd poker challenge was won by Kido Pham. Pham should be back to defend his title together with other poker professionals like Alex Jacob, Clonie Gowen and others. The director for the tournament will be Jimmy Sommerfeld. The Cherokee Casino facility is expecting around 5,500 participants for this year's tournament. The prize pool will be $2 million.
